About

DNRC is administering a grant program from the State’s Fire Suppression Fund to help further the implementation of the Montana Forest Action Plan. Projects should reduce wildfire risk and improve forest health on state, county, tribal, private lands, and federal lands through the Good Neighbor Authority. Projects should involve multiple collaborating partners, and engage in cross-boundary management to address at least one of the following through forest management and conservation actions: forest health; wildfire risk; working forests and economies; biodiversity and habitat; human and community health; urban and community forests.

For an overview of the program, view the Montana Forest Action Plan Grant Program One-pager.
